Update!

I have been pretty quiet over the past couple of weeks, due to both work commitments and also preparations for the Carronade2013 wargames show in Falkirk (which was a fun show).

I have plenty of new content lined up and I will start putting up new articles and reviews very soon.

I received my copy of In Her Majesty's Name over last weekend and I will be reading that very soon. I also picked up a copy of West Wind's Empire of the Dead at the Bring and Buy in Falkirk for only £10 - it is in mint condition, so as you can imagine I was very pleased (especially considering I have been at the West Wind stand 10 minutes before and nearly paid full price)...

I have been painting up various figures ready to show on the blog. I have nearly finished Red Planet Miniatures Sky Martian samples and also Ramshackle Games samples.

Anyway, look out for more in the very near future!

All Quiet On The Martian Front Kickstarter

After a fairly lengthy build up the All Quiet On The Martian Front Kickstarter campaign has started.

The game is based around a second Martian invasion of the Earth. Set 12 years after the first invasion failed  (see H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds), the Earth's forces have developed new technologies and have become much more of a force to be reckoned with!

Although clearly based on a classic VSF theme, the miniatures in this game look far more World War One than VSF or Steampunk, however I couldn't really ignore All Quiet On The Martian Front now could I!

It is quite interesting that Alien Dungeon have chosen to set the size of the miniatures to 15mm. Clearly some of the bigger Martian walkers would be huge if done at 28mm, so I think it was clearly the only choice. This will give wargamers the opportunity to stage large battles and should lead to some spectacular looking tables!

Check out the Kickstarter and see all the possibilities that the game offers. I am already considering using some of the larger Martian machines with 28mm miniatures, as they are not too scale specific...
